GILTNER, Neb. (Aug 19, 2026) – Bish Enterprises is expanding the capabilities of its award-winning FiberCut™ harvesting system with a new Mechanical Follow-Steering Option designed to improve maneuverability and operator control in the field.
Designed to harvest industrial hemp, kenaf, and other tall biomass crops, the FiberCut™ addresses the challenges of cutting and handling long-stalk fiber crops that can be difficult to bale and process. The FiberCut™ has become one of the industry’s leading fiber crop harvesting solutions, earning a 2026 AE50 Award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) for innovation in agricultural equipment.
The optional mechanical follow-steering system builds on that award-winning platform by improving maneuverability in contoured fields, reducing the space required to make turns, and giving operators greater control during harvesting operations.
Developed to improve maneuverability in the field, the new Mechanical Follow-Steering Option gives operators greater control when navigating field entrances, end rows, irregular field layouts, and contoured terrain where turning space is limited.

Previous FiberCut™ configurations relied on a fixed rear axle. With the new mechanical follow-steering system, the rear axle steers in coordination with the tractor, allowing the machine to follow more naturally through turns and reducing the space required to maneuver during field operation.
The Mechanical Follow-Steering Option is built around a newly engineered rear axle assembly and steering linkage and will be offered as an optional package on new FiberCut™ machines. Certain newer FiberCut™ models will also be eligible for future retrofit upgrades.
