As hemp becomes more common across the state organizations are working to find ways that it can be utilized to the fullest extent. One of those groups is the Hemp Feed Coalition, which spoke at the Nebraska Ag Expo Feb. 23 in Lincoln.
This organization is led by president Ken Elliott with IND Hemp in Montana and vice president Andrew Bish with Bish Enterprises out of Giltner. The group is working to legalize hemp as another feed option for Nebraska producers.
Elliott explained that they are a group of different organizations and people that are working with laboratories, universities and processing facilities all over the United States.
